Why could Alexander Technique lessons help me?
There are many reasons why you may come for lessons:
You may have general unexplained back pain.
You may feel your posture has got worse since having a baby.
You may find specific tasks cause a niggle or an ache.
You may be struggling with fatigue since having a baby and this is causing back pain.
If you want to find an easier way of moving, with long term solutions to get rid of bodily tension it's likely that Alexander Technique lessons can help you.
What happens in a lesson?
During the first lesson, we'll have a chat to find out why you have come along and what you want to get out of the lessons.
I will observe how you move and we can discuss where changes might be made.
I will place gentle hands on you throughout the lesson and give you verbal thoughts to adjust and free up your movements.
As we progress we will look at a range of activities such as walking, or carrying.
Each session is tailored to your specific needs, I work with you as an individual.
How many lessons should I expect to take?
Everybody is different. Some people come for 6 lessons, others come for years. It really depends on what is going on for you and how you want to use what you learn.
I recommend starting with a 3 lesson introductory course to get a good feel of how it works.
